So you found that climb then. ;o)
Sorry I couldn't make the recce.
It's a nice little forest - It's a great spot for an easy trip.
I assume you found the structure thingy (I can't remember what it was for)

Hi Fellas.
Hi Steve. Long Gully track is a very steep climb, but the surface is rock so there is lots of traction.
Battery Spur track is also a good hill climb.
Also Break o Day Spur track has a difficult climb, its yellow clay and deeply rutted.
The structure was a crusher (battery) for a gold mine or might have been an Antimony mine. Its marked on my map." Big Ben Mine Battery" But we didn't see it. I think it has been dismantled and the mine shaft is filled in.
We had a fun day. Louis filled his car with muddy water In one of the bog holes . Chris's Pajero had its first off road adventure.

Hi Wayne, I've spoken with a couple of my non club mates about this trip. One has a prado and one has a troopy. We may drive some tracks in toolangi on the Saturday and camp there then meet you in Kinglake. How does that sound?
