Adventure Tour 2009

Post by Greg »

:cough: Adventure Tour :cough:

Hi Team,

A quick reminder that the Tour will be on again in 2009 over the labour day weekend (March 7, 8 and 9).

So far, we have a date in mind. All we need now is 3 hard locations to wheel, and some people to wheel it.

Let’s get Stevie G a little bit motivated by talking up who’s keen for some wheeling, and some suggestions on where the wheeling should occur.

Cheers,
Greg

Here are my trip location ideas:

Mt Dissa (if I can get out there for a pre-run first – the fence line tracks are meant to be there still)
Warburton (someone bring a spare rear diff)
Oz Rock Property on way to Geelong (does mick have the connections?)
Neerim (a great chance to experience some Hamblin style navigation)
Gembrook (if wet? – andersons area perhaps)
Narbethong
Toolangi (usual suspects, the tracks near the Down Hill MTB Track, the loose rock / dust climb)

Ok - the response has been.... overwhelming.

I think Stevie and I will plan to get together next week for a trip planning session.

If anyone is keen to attend to bring along some clever ideas about where we should drive, or what we should drive, please speak up.

cheers,

Ok,

The Official Adventure Tour 2009 Planning Meeting is to be scheduled for the evening of Monday Feb 2nd.

Items for discussion:
1. Day locations
2. Accommodation
3. Food and Fuel stops

It is likely to be somewhere between Eltham and Chadstone.

Please let us know if you are coming along to join in on the discussion.

Cheers,
Greg

If its closer to Eltham than chadstone
I'm there. ;)

I sent Steve a PM on some tracks near Larby.
I think he may be away at the moment.
