Vit 1.6 air filter box

Post by sierrajim »

Well i've finally pulled my finger out and have started a few small jobs on the Zook to get it back on the road.

While the turbo has been back benched for the time being it is still to be fitted soon enough. In the meantime i need to fit up a snorkel, my engine is the single point efi motor with the carby style air box on the motor, this has been trimmed by the previous owner.

I've looked at the donaldson filter boxes, $150 that i'd rather spend on the house ATM. Does anyone know of a filter box with a 2.5-3 inch inlet/outlet suitable for hooking up to a snorkel (round inlet/outlet pipes) that can be bought from wreckers?

under all the clip off crap a cylindrical cleaner with a 3" inlet and outlet - you need to look carefully to discover this.
Filter elements are around $15 if you know where to look...... :D
