Toolangi (Previously Yarra State Forest) On 24/08/08

Hi Guys
On the 24th of august, I am going on a trip to toolangi (previously yarra state forest trip) I have spent some time in the area in the past so i know it resonably well but it will be a exploraton trip, easy to medium skill level and all familys are welcome depending on who is coming i will organise a barb q at a good campsite i know of, no number limits all welcome.

Meeting- 9am in Yarra Glen, corner of Melba Hwy and Herbert Road

What- To Bring:-
-Yourselves and family
-A roadworthy car
-All Terrains will be a benifit but we will judge tracks depending on who turns up
-Water some snacks and smiles on faces

Please reply asap, depending on numbers and who is coming will determine barbq or not

I am just doing sausages and bread maybe some cheese, I was going to bring a gas barbq but if you have a swing on campfire one I could borrow that would be great. Please let me know by friday, so I can be prepared

We had a fun day ( well I had a fun day.... ), jury might still be out for others.

DId Glenburn and then to a CLOSED Rocky track - complete with SECURITY GUARD to keep people away from the drilling rig ( core sampling ). Back to the powerline end of Glenburn and then up the fence line to Marginal Rd. Doesn't sound much does it, but when its punctuated by recoveries every half hour or so its made a full day.

Callum set the tone for the day...

This was accompinied by a loud bang - leading to.....

Resulting in .......

and a very bent rear panhard ( no pic, crawling under a patrol isn't that interesting.... )

And the Feroza didn't get sworn at all day, love tyres with some bite....

So - thanks Callum for a full day and BBQ lunch, dad and I enjoyed it

I had a great day, thanks all for coming and the tyre off the bead was a family activity I organised to show how to change a tyre in the bush, (and get annoyed in the process).

Thanks to Ross for helping with direction and all for good company
