Soft Shackles - Group Buy

As has been discussed at a couple of the club meetings, the use of soft shackles in lieu of a regular bow shackle is encouraged due to the following reasons:

- Safety - in a worst case scenario if it was to fail it considerably lighter weight and less of projectile than a standard shackle

- Versatility - due to the shape they fit around more thing as well as make it easier to fit both eyes of a strap

- Weight - soft shackles weigh almost nothing compared to a bow shackle which is very handy in our light cars.

I'm arranging a group buy on these if we have enough interest. I have had some preliminary pricing and we are looking at $62 for a pair of soft shackles rated to 15T. There are others available cheaper, but I have selected ones from a supplier that will supply us with a breaking test certificate.

If anyone who is interested post on here before the next club meeting we will finalise numbers and put an order in. I'll need numbers for final pricing.
