has anybody done a rebuild/reoil of a viscous fan mine seems to not work properly when realey hot colin

Hi colin,
Re-oiling of the clutch fan is pretty straightforward. There should just be a few screws holding the two halves together on the centre hub.
The silicone oil is available off ebay or another common source is a toyota dealer.
Here's a link to a video - most fun clutches are the same so the process is very much the same.

I re oiled mine on the Vitara, worked great. But new ones on Amazon got cheaper, so replaced mine just in case.
