Avoca now, was Neerim.....

Post by mightymouse »

Well Bill apparently had "fun" and tells me Neerim is big wheel country and breaks cars...

So how about a return to Avoca ? It has easy and medium tracks ( bypasses on the interesting stuff ).

Looking at the 5 and /or 6th Jan, wouldn't mind doing a Saturday night camp at the Falls campground
but if thats too hard will do a single day.

As I have been there before I shouldn't get lost for the first ten minutes or so.

Anyone interested ?

If it ends up late Jan/early Feb on a Sunday and i'll be there. Theres some very good tracks down that way that Vickrawlers frequent, can get some of their trip notes if you need them.

Plan is for a single day, most likely the Sunday as its going to be 37 (fire risk) on Sat and 26 on Sunday

Meet at 9:30 in the main street at Avoca - give the emu pies a work over before we get rolling !
Fuel is usually available in Avoca.

Got some maps of the area - Mt Cole looks like an interesting area also.

Mt Cole has some real steep stuff, will be a bit wetter than Avoca if possible. There are still some tracks of Avoca we need to cover though, where was that rooster and chicken sign last time Ross.
Also, is there a spare seat for Mitch?

Perhaps another recon for another day.....

If Mitch doesn't mind slumming it - he's welcome as the passenger/mechanic/navigator/counter weight.......

Does this mean the zooks going to come for a play ?
