Cobaw Range State Forest. August 10th

Post by luigi »

Trip rating. Easyish to as hard as you want!
Meeting Point. Lancefield main street, near the toilet block. There is fuel and takeaway in Lancefield.
Time. 9.30 am.
We will enter the bush from " Burke and Wills track." Hope that's not a bad omen! It will take about 15 minutes to get to the tracks from Lancefield.
There is a parking area as we enter the bush. But no facilities. Bring a cut lunch.
We won't be covering a large area. All the tracks will be slow going.
Regards. Wayne. 0419539264

Wayne.

I am interested in helping out. Did you have a particular day in mind? I am only available on weekends.

Hi Fellas.
Hi Mike. Any Sunday is ok for me. (except tomorrow 20th). There are tracks we could not do with our cars, but others I think we could with a spotter.

Hi Fellas.
Hi Greg. I took a video of one of the easy tracks. When I look at it , it looks s******t easy. So I did not want to bore people. ;)
Take another look at Dans' pics and video from 2012. There really is tracks like those.
Of course, if Mike and I do a trip there, it would be the easier tracks.
Its only a few miles out of Lancefield. That's not too far ,is it?
It would be really good to have an experienced spotter with us when the trip happens. Want the job?
Regards, Wayne.

Wayne

Sunday 17 August will be the earliest I am available. If you don't want to wait that long I will not be offended.

Two points.
1) I am not sure that Greg would be interested in going anywhere that we are capable of going Wayne?
2) If we need a spotter to go anywhere I am not sure I want to go there.

Hi Fellas.
Hi Mike. Sunday 17th Aug is ok. Tkcruiser?
I will try to get some photographic evidence this week. I am sure anywhere my car can go your Jimny could also. My only advantage is , it doesn't matter if I get a few scratches or dents.
Regards, Wayne.

Mike and Wayne,
I don't mind going..but if it comes to truck damage then I'm out....too expensive with the cruiser.
Is this a one day trip?

Hi Guys,

I'm happy to help out!

Not too far from home and definitely a place I have been eager to explore.

If August 10th, count me in!
