I think my tailshaft problems are solved. Driveline are making a new shaft with a new yoke and new tube. It will be balanced and true.
Thanks again Chris. Regards,Wayne. :D :D

how much did it cost you for a new tailshaft, was it just a stock replacement or something more heavy duty??

Hi Westvic zook. I took my old tailshaft to driveline services in bayswater. I am not sure what the correct names are for the parts. But they cut the front part off(the end with the sliding spline) and welded it to a new tube. Then they welded a new flange and yoke to the diff end. The new flange takes a slightly smaller uni joint. So it is not standard suzuki. But considering my old shaft was completly stuffed I was very happy with the result. The uni joints are tight. The welds are perfect and it is balanced. It was not cheap. $575. But If I think about it. 2 uni joints, a piece of tube, a new flange and yoke ,expert welding and balancing and labour. Thats about what I reckon it would cost.
My car is stock standard so I don't need anything heavy duty. Hope that answers your question.
Regards, Wayne.
