suonds good Chris, being set up for the desert should surely put you in good stead for Fraser.

I am planning a camping trip to Lady Musgrave Island directly after the Fraser island trip.

Plan on spending 4 nites on Fraser and probably 5 nites on Musgrave.

also plan on the Sierra giving me no mechanical problems the whole trip

You can buy them in Rainbow Creak before you catch the ferry across.

need vehicle permits, 50 bucks or so, camping = 10 per nite. (roughly)

You might get more takers if it doesn't clash with the Simpson desert trip. You might end up with the same people on both trips, or if there are people who can't make the Simpson trip due to a date clash, they might be able to make it to this one on another date.

Sadly I am squeezed between a concert I have tickets for and a trip to the great barrier reef with so I am not flexible on dates

I am going from Rainbow Beach accross to Fraser island on the 1st of May
Rainbow Beach is 4 hours north of Brisbane.

the other hald of this trip fell through and without 2 reasons to drive up to QLD, this is now not viable.
