Google tells me this is a MacGyver/Man vs Wild type of camping. Bare essentials, survival style.

Sounds interesting.

Oh, you mean adventure tour 7-8 years ago when it was hardcore wheeling for men, unlike now when it's hardcore latte' wheeling :) staying in cabins and driving auto's?

Bob camping is different from person to person, I believe Jons version is minimilistic camping, he didn't mention scenarios or anything to me.

you weren't around for the old days Jonno. In fact neither was I...You would have to be like....an old fart to remember those days....

It sort of defeats the purpose of minimalistic camping if you have your rig with you. if you are talking about on foot then i'm up for it.

not long ago did a man vs wild trip with some mates...took bare essentials (knife/torch/matches/fishing line/bottle of wine :P) and walked from Cape Liptrap to Walkerville doing some coastal survival stuff.

Was good fun.

Got heaps of location ideas for that type of thing. harley and I did Mt Feathertop weekend just gone...although snow camping you need a little more than bare essentials. Spring/Summer trips are easy.

The scenario would dictate if cars are allowed.
