Sunday morning we shot over to the trout farm before heading up to Torongo falls (pretty easy walk). Then the fun began. Did a few tracks headed south towards Hawthorn camp site, luckily we were headed down hill. A few guys headed up were struggling to say the least. The creek crossing at Hawthorn is just under bonnet deep on my Pootrol, not sure how this would have gone in the zook.
We then worked our way down towards Youngs, which hasn't really changed too much since AT11. The ruts toward the ledge are getting pretty deep though. 4 cars winched their way down (yes, I did say down) the chicken track.
We ended up stuck on the side of the track for a while after trying to pick my glasses up off the floor and lapsing concerntration we collected a stump at 20k's. resulting in a broken ball joint (probably a fine for that one) but did manage to work a pretty slick multi link steering set up for the 100km drive home.
High lift handle, bolted to steering dampener bracket, bolted to tie rod clamp, bolted to steering knuckle. The tape was in leiu of locktite.
