This sounds like it will be good fun and informative.
I will be working in the new Fujitsu office on St Kilda Road from that week.

So Mick add me to the list.

The only question I have is what lens do you thing will be required.

Lens i have are.

1. 17-85mm f5.4
2. 50mm f1.8
3. 70-200mm f2.8

It was also discussed in the meeting that a tripod is required.
Go that and a mono pod also.

I also have a flash Canon 430ex

I'm in for this trip too. My wife may even come.

Andrew, Bring your 50mm so I can borrow it! My (18-275mm) Lens only goes down to about F4 at 50mm and the 400D is really bad for noise.
I helped move Fujitsu OUT of the old office on StKilda Rd >10 years ago and now they moved back in? Is it the same building? :)

I might as well bring the complete kit... Never had any issues with noise as I asl have a 400D. but anyway I can at least edit the noise out if required.
The 17-85 is actually f4.5.. Dyslexic fingers

As for Fujitsu.. the new office is 570 St Kilda Road.. No idea if that was the build 10 years ago.
Crap place to get to. O.H well can't complain

Hi guys,
Sorry im a slowpoke  Ok, as Steve G said meet at fed Square 6pm, if you get lost or running late give me a call 0433185641.
From fed square i think we will head towards crown casino and shoot around the river, back towards flinders st station and work our way back to the city.

Bring your camera and other gear, bring a tripod and if you have more than one please bring it as not everyone will have one. After we are finished taking pics, we will find somewhere to get a snack and a coffee or something, ill see how we all feel on the night.

I will be bringing most of my Nikon gear and lenses, and are quite happy to share it around if anyone wants to have a play and will also have 2 spare nikon compacts for people to use if they dont have a cameras and a couple of tripods.

Neo, your 400D will be fine with noise as long as you shoot low ISO and use a tripod.

Gear Im bringing if youz wanna have a play:
Nikon D3, Nikon D300s, Nikon coolpix 5400, Nikon coolpix L19 and a F90x film camera if anyone wants to get old school
Lenses 17-55 2.8, 80-200 2.8, 11-16 2.8, 18-35 3.5-4.5, 16mm fisheye 2.8, 35mm f2, 50mm 1.4, 24mm 2.8
Plethora of Nikon speedlights.

Think we are going to have a pretty good turnout 8-)

Any questions, just shoot me a PM of give me a buzz.

See you there

I forgot about this one.
Good thing I do not have any commitments on the 6th.

Will bring my tripod and canon lenses.

Have not had any issues with my 400D with noise.
Always have used ISO 200 or lower. Maybe the noise issue happens in automatic mode :?: :?:

Anyway I will be there.

We'll bring a tripod, and my Dad will have his tripod and a monopod.

Looking forward to it!

I for one had a great night and the co, was terrific. For those of us who enjoy this sort of thing we should do it more often. A big thankyou to Mock for organising this outing, cant wait for the next one. Marty.
