Home and Hosed!

Big weekend.

Big cars, big tracks, big drives... thankfully - not-so-big-nights.

Brief Trip Report:

Saturday - Warburton
Tracks:
Ellis Track
Ledge Track
Highlights:
I busted the rear short side axel (yes - one of the unbreakable ones)
AJSR got up the big wash out rut. Apparently he also came very close to rolling on Ledge Track

Sunday - Gembrook
Tracks:
Cypress Hill
Andersons Track
Highlights:
Jonno and Mitch tried very hard to roll their cars on the Hill
Stevie trumped them both with a great roll
Andersons second last spoon drain is quickly becoming undriveable.

Monday - Labertouche
Tracks:
Phasmid
Walkers
Robertsons
Bullock Link
Highlights:
Dank killed his battery, winch, will to live etc on Walkers
Stevie pulled some massive lines on the Bullock Link ledges
I pulled onto the freeway in Longwarry right infront of a tog car and didnt get pulled over :)

A big thanks to everyone for coming along. This trip is always the highlight of the club year for me - and you guys coming along and driving stuff are what makes it so good.

I should also add in a special thinks to Fel for a massive effort with the brekky and lunch organising.

Now get with the photos and videos gents!

So on the drive home after we left you guys the Zook was running ok until we got under the power lines and the Zook rolled to a halt with no spark no power, Zook wouldn't start again, so while coming to terms that it may end up to be a late night I rang Jonno to see where he was with the possibilty of a jump start and while talking to him in all his experience with dodgy battery's over time he said just try and wiggle the battery cable terminals a bit... So a quick wiggle on the negative lead and BANG....the fuel pump starts buzzing away and primes and the stereo comes back on... Harley and I looking at each other over the engine bay in surprise/disbelief/utter amazement all combined with a 'geez we are dickheads for not thinking about this first' started giggling away mostly with relief that three days of hard wheeling wasn't going to end up with a tow and we'd be home within an hour....

So lessons are always try the easy stuff first! I'm happy to cop a fine for this bit I reckon with all of us there at walkers no one thought to check the terminals.... So we ALL should be fined!!! :P

A big thanks to all involved. Awesome track as usual, great bunch of guys..though 8 blokes in a room full of smoke and disco lights........

Sorry about missing out on Monday, the tracks you had set looked like they'd be a ton of fun.

Felicity, top job on the catering. Greg/Fel I'll need some bank details to send you some money to fix you up for the food.

I did mention battery terminals at the time but I guess it was lost in all the excitement- I'd heard that "pop" before. That's a good outcome though. Shame you missed robertson's and bullock link though, we pioneered an "unusual" line on bullock link. :D

Huge thanks to greg and fel for the catering. That would have been heaps of work.

An awesome tour all up.

Steve.
