Adventure Tour 2012 Discussion Thread

As always - Adventure Tour will run over the Labour Day weekend in 2012.

These dates will be:

Saturday 10-Mar
Sunday 11-Mar
Monday 12-Mar

Let's post up discussion here.

Mick has mentioned interest from Dirt Comp magazine to cover the event again in 2012.

We may also have a low level of corporate sponsorship for our Tour T-Shirts.

I'm happy to book the accom once we have trip locations sorted.

Based on the track quality of Gembrook at the moment - I will nominate Gembrook / Labertouche as a possible location for one day in 2012...

i.e. Gembrook, (probably) Warby and somewhere else...

I reckon you should do a top gear style cheap car challenge Neo...

come over the week before, buy a sierra, wrench on it, drive the tour, then sell it... all within 7 days or so.

I second this, that sounds like a great idea! We could probably all lend you bits and pieces to make it easier.

I love this idea.
I could see a car come together real quick if someone lent me a transfer case and some tires.

But i don't think I can pull it off this year, money and time being the main factors as always..

I don't see a problem with doing this next year though.

I dont reckon these will meet the minimum tyre requirements Jonno.

Nothing smaller than a Q78 this year - that will ensure that Noel gets even madder than at previous ATs.
