Hi Fellas. I will be driving , checking the tracks on Sunday. Just have to figure out how best to link them up with minimal road work. Looking more like it will start and finish in Daylesford. But it WILL be a fun day.
Regards. Wayne.

Hi Fellas. There's a couple of link up tracks I have not driven. I want to make sure it will work. Crazy idea? Maybe I should go and do the track leaders course. ;)
Regards. Wayne.

You are the most organised one we've had, you could run the track leaders course

Hi Fellas.
I checked out the country and tracks today. ( it was a magic day in the bush today) I am going to call it the "Daylesford Jim Crow Ranges trip" It starts at Sailors Falls and finishes back at Daylesford. We will start with some tracks around the White Point area near Leonards Hill, have a look at the Lord Roberts mine and the old Blanket Flat cemetery. Then thru Eganstown and the Brandy Hot goldfield, have a look at the Keep it Dark mines and Shicers Gully. Check out the old Charlesford mine.
Then into the Jim Crow Ranges and have a look at the Welcome Reef. We can go back to Sailors creek for lunch via Hepburn Springs or have lunch in the bush. The place I have in mind for the lunch break on Sailors creek is still in the bush, but we would have to go into Hepburn Springs to get there.
I reckon we could spend most of the afternoon exploring tracks in the Jim Crow ranges.
If we have time we can also go thru Yandoit and Franklinford and into the Upper Loddon State Forest. Then the trip would finish in Malmsbury. But I don't think we would have time. See what happens on the day.
The trip is easy with a few steep rocky tracks. If it is a wet day it will be more fun. The tracks around Leonards Hill and White point can get boggy in the wet and some are narrow. (Sierra size) Wait and see how many cars and what type of cars want to come.
All are welcome!
Regards. Wayne.

Hi Fellas.
I have it all worked out. I have found some really good tracks in the Brandy Hot gold fields area. Short and sharp low range 4wd tracks. I can do them all in my sierra so they are not that hard but they are good fun. If it is wet I would not try them alone, but if there are a few of us it should be ok.
Any Sunday in July will be fine by me. Does anyone have a preferred date? Lets get it rolling. Still interested Chris? Good opportunity to try out your new tyres. Mike , Richard , Chen? Anyone else?
Daylesford is a great place for a weekend break. If anyone wants to make a weekend of it. There is any amount of accommodation , antique shops , coffee shops , restaurants , day spas and some very interesting people.
Regards. Wayne.
