Reversing Camera and/or GPS Combo.

Post by christover1 »

As the years go by, and I am getting softer,
looking over me shoulder is getting harder.
With a huge spare tyre and stuff,
I can't see nothing in rear view mirror.
I have been thinking about this for a while,
and heard on news another kid gets backed over by his dad.
Very sad.
So I will be getting a reversing camera,
as they are starting to become within financial reach lately.

My GPS is very, very old,
and I've noticed a few come with a rev cam option.
Though combo units of anything worry me,
as you can lose it all in one go.

I know we get what we pay for,
so maybe a rev cam on its own could be better quality,
for cheaper than a combo?
Any thoughts or experiences would be appreciated.
cheers

Chris.

I have the HEMA navigator 5.
This has the optional reversing camera.
Have not installed it but I know a few people in the Jeep club who have.

There are also Chinese versions around which have similar options.
I will ask around at the next club meeting.

Think this one is winning at the moment
CCD camera.
16/9 aspect.
$120.
I think wide screen would be good thing.
Aussie based, tho not Aussie made.

Opinions appreciated.

PS..Found a 2.5" with cmos for $55
if I decide to go cheap.
