The Vitara came with adjustable camber? bolts,
I lowered the front, raised the back.
Now my front wheels bow out at the bottom too far.
There are two bolts on bottom part of strut, are they what I fiddle with?
And is it idiot proof, or do I need advice?
thanx all

Camber is very difficult to measure accurately.
You're right - the two bolts on the bottom of the strut are what set your camber.
The procedure is to loosen them, remove the locking washer, turn the bolt to adjust the camber, then put the nut back on.
The problem is that it needs to be done with weight on the front end, and there's a heap more adjustment in the bolts than you need at your height.
You can eyeball it to get it close (closer than you are now) but it needs to be done on an alignment rack to get it right.
I think your toe is out too (and camber adjustments will affect toe as well)
An alignment will be $50 or so - I'd spend the money. Running your car with the toe and camber even a smidge out will murder your tyres.
Steve.

thanks.
It will be getting a paid alignment.
But need to get it close enough for now.

Those camber bolts are from pedders. They were set at their max adjustment for the 20mm(x2 on ifs) spacers on the ome springs 30 or 40mm lift.
At the price they charge for them them should come with a life time free adjustment.

I'll be going up again next year, with tyres and gearing,Phantomzook wrote:Those camber bolts are from pedders. They were set at their max adjustment for the 20mm(x2 on ifs) spacers on the ome springs 30 or 40mm lift.

so they probably will be adjusted back to where they were.
It is good buying a zook that has most of the work done for me
