Yeeeeaaay
That was a fun day.
Thanks Dank, and all who came.
Conquered the hill that beat me last time :)
Go Vits.
Weather was kind to us, and tracks were still nice and slippy.
Hope everyone has got home ???

Well it was an interesting day.

Not quite the day I hoped for but still a good day out.

It was deceptively drier than last time but...it didn't mean that it was any easier.

Harley unfortunatley had trouble with the Jim yet again...this time his gearbox went...halfway up that tricky hill climb. After some butt clentching moments, the car was stable and a long recovery ensued. We had to tow him all the way out to the top of the hill and then a short tow back into town once he had finished the downhill section.

Highlight of the day was the redneck wheeling we did getting Jonno and his forerunner up a slippery hill. We couldn't be bothered pulling out 40m of tow line to pull him up the hill so 4 or 5 of us pushing, pulling, side to side full noise from the forerunner had it up there in no time. Was great fun.

Jonno's alternator went a little later in the day and we managed to get back to my folks place in Tynong and work a little dan magic and pulled his alternator out, flushed it out, hit is with the pressurised air, wd40 and back in and good as new, charging again.

Something siezed in the gearbox and ripped the transfer off its mount. Chris had a bucket of bolts which we made good use of and got his transfer back on but the gearbox had no drive in any gears. Had to tether two 4wds together to get enough traction to pull him up sections and also winch some sections as well. That pretty much wiped out most of the day getting him out. I got back to the group at a little after 3pm and we went for a short drive and found some interesting bits but i think everyone was over it by then, A nice open grassy area gave us some fun and some slippery hill climbs which was good fun.

I'm feeling for harley though...the gearbox is the last driveline component that hasn't been touched in the almost full rebuild....hopefully after that is fixed we will get some decent wheeling happening and minimal problems.

I didn't have my camera but I know there were heaps taken by others. We'll wait for them to come out of the woodwork.

Found me one photo on new mobile phone, so I didn't accidently delete it.
Not much, but better than nothing :)
