I'm on call for work this week, so i won't be able to make it.

Radio etiquette/procedures may be worth speaking about.

Examples
You hear some body say " turn left at next track" but you could be 3 k's behind that person, and go up wrong track.

Radios rarely transmit for first second, so making sure you press before speaking and dont let go till after you stop.

Allowing for noise, poor signal, and business of drivers, keeping sentences clear and short is wise.

Making sure good radios are spread amongst the convoy (hand helds are rarely good)

Relaying messages along convoy, as its common for front car and rear to be out of range

My poor hearing adds to these issues, but these may be issues for others, too.

Of course good convoy procedure negates the need for radios :mrgreen:

not really tech, but could be included in trip leader days or other

There's your answer. Convoy procedure always reduces confusion if properly applied. Radio use rarely reduces confusion.
