Bushfire relief cleanup day

Post by billbarbas »

As per Lloyds comments, I cannot thank you guys enough for coming and helping out today. Although it could have been organised a bit better, the locals we visited and helped were genuinely touched. Much more to be done, so get on board guys and help out.
Looks like more hay deliveries next week, if this is the case, I wont be going to Wandin, our help is needed in Larby.

Let me know if you can help,

Bill

Given the size of the challenge, and the modest resources available to do the administration it all went amazingly well.
Its ( thankfully ) an activity that we haven't had a lot of experience in, and no doubt we'll learn as we go.

The real challenge of course is in the longer term - when the publicity dies away but the need is still there.

Still, it was a start, hearts and hands are in the right place.......

And........ its going to be a long time before the area returns to its former state, I thought I knew the area but with the devastation even familiar landmarks look like scenes from other planets.
