Yeah! probably Chris.
On the Border Track trip I did 1500, but that was via Mildura and included the Murray - Sunset National Park bit.

And don't forget fuel prices get dearer the further you move from the regional centre's

Sometimes you don't have much of a choice as to where you fill - when its empty any fuel is good.

Well I think I'm ready.
Spanner spinning has stopped, now (never really actually ends)
I got a good deal from Dicky Smith on a pair of uhf hand helds, they should be good for about 200m if lucky
I whinged loudly about the lack of product advertised on their web site (one was available in a store a zillion miles away)
They dropped $20 of the price of the next dearest up
A better quality too, methinks, than my original plans.

OK racers... its getting near.

Will post details of the campsite etc when /if I get home tonight.

Paul and I will be leaving Friday morning 9:00 ish on the Monash and of course others are welcome to join the convoy wherever.

Would be VERY usefull if those who are comming can confirm this and indicate when they might arrive and if they are convoying.
Strength in numbers....

I'm going to be 5kph faster minimum...... took the door trims off and the nearly 3kg of mud ( I was that surprised I weighted it - sad i know.... ) couldnt have been helping. Drivers door tonight so could be 6kg.... :D Even the neighbor was "impressed" - not many people apparently tip buckets of water INTO their doors.

Claire and christover plan to leave Friday late morning, around 11am. Lunch on the way, just cruising slowly. We should arrive around tea time, or after tea if we stop on the way.

36Deg 29.829 South
142Deg 1.051 East...... I'm into this GPS stuff :D

Dimboola's on a loop to the left of the highway.

Head into town and on the left theres a road under a log arch ( Gateway to the Little Desert IIRC )

Take this over the river andit turns hard left.

Then some distance later turns hardish right.

Continue past where it turns to gravel and it will get you to the campsite.

Two entries but they loop inside so either one will do.

Likely to be camped on the river side of the campground - but......

Be vwerry vwerry qwiett - were likely to be haveing a little nana nap or passed out by the fire if your after dark.
