EOI - Social trip

Post by gwagensteve »

Seonaid and I were discussing running a social trip to the off street drags at Calder one Friday night.

I've been keen to go and have a look for years but never quite got around to it and Seonaid used to go with an ex boyfriend years and years ago (who raced an 11 second 308 kingswood wagon - cool) and she reckons it's a pretty good night out

There's regularly some very serious machinery there - we're talking 8 second VL turbos and stuff so it should be pretty spectacular

I think it's $20 to spectate.

I'm thinking for the warmer months, maybe October or something.

Interest?

Steve.

Now that would be entertaining.

I'd be interested when it's a bit warmer.

Yep -- worth doing.

As for a Zook, been there done that - 12.6 something sec in my LJ50( Alfa powered... ) wheelspin all the way :)
That was one scarry vehicle. It's not what can be done - its what should be done.

Nice a trip down my way. I'll be in for that. 15 minutes away from my new place. I dont think they run if it's wet. I would say make a date and see what happens.
