The SDI Open Water course at Extreme Watersport in Rosebud West for $299.
They normally add $50 for the weekend but as they wont have to pay groupon we ARE geting the $299 deal for the weekend.
FYI ONLY DONT CLICK BUY. https://www.groupon.com.au/deals/extreme-watersport-7 Their proper website is down.
You will need your own Mask, Snorkel and Fins and it's a good idea to be comfortable with them before the course starts, we can run a snorkeling trip in the lead up to the course.
If you don't have your own you will need to buy them or borrow from someone.
Fins will need to be the adjustable open heal type you can wear over booties.
The shop will try and say that yours aren't good enough and you need to buy their heavily marked up gear to try and make up for the low price of the course (Erin got talked into a $25 snorkel at $45 that she didn't even use except for the related training).
BCF have this complete set for $59 http://www.bcf.com.au/Product/Mirage-Sn ... ion/273675

It might be worth spending a bit more and get a snorkel with a valve for easy clearing.
I do have 2 sets I can loan out, I wont be doing the course myself as I am already certified.
To choose a mask try it on WITHOUT the strap, just inhale though your nose, if it seals easily and stays on your face it's good.
