I didn't really have anything specific I wanted to learn or cover this weekend just happy to hang out with a great group of people and watch estuary recoveries go pear shaped.

That discussion was so far beyond level 10 it wasn't funny.

Highlights:

Mazda TQ 5speed transmissions with integrated torque converters, used in busses with 13B rotaries in the late 1970's, and their awesomeness.

Air shocks on cantilevers designed to provide falling rate under compression (and extreme droop - just added that leigh ) to compensate the exponential rising rate characteristics of air shocks - and to prevent "push off" without suck down winches.

It was happy times. The whiteboard got a work out.

Were any pictures taken of the cantelever design? It sounds cool.

Thanks Steve for hosting the event. Thanks also for dismantling my old transfer case so I could see what was inside. Although I did not stay all day I got a lot of value. I agree that it is a good format for a tech day. Need to take a welding course though if I ever want to get serious about it. Another project for my retirement I guess.

Hi Fellas.
Yeah, really good on Saturday, small group. Easy to get into the conversation. Learnt a lot about mig welding. Though Steves welder was so good and easy to use, it felt like cheating.
Also Jons talk and demo on diff setups was very useful as well.
