Re: New Calmini Vitara Strut Eliminator
Is this an advertisement or tech?
Mike Hagen has been doing this for many years.

Re: New Calmini Vitara Strut Eliminator
For them it is obviously an advert.
I ain't selling them.
For me its the first time I've seen it,
and a technical discussion is a nice thing to have.
Looks to me to be a good thing,
but I am no engineer.
It appears to use the strut tower as an anchor for the top arm to swing from.
Looks to be strong enough, but I have no idea.
I'd be interested once my struts and springs are shagged,
but what I have now is fine.
Not sure why they say only suits their 3"lift kits,
could be a marketing thing.

Re: New Calmini Vitara Strut Eliminator
The three inch lift lower arms alter the track width slightly to correct camber and track width for the lift height, so fitting these arms with a stock lower arm would result in heavy positive camber.
I'm worried about that small, unshielded uniball. I think there's zero chance of getting that engineer approved in Vic, and I'm concerned about its long term durability down near the wheel on a poor environment.
It's also a missed opportunity to make the camber adjustable, or fit rebound stops to prevent pulling cv's apart. Every other ifs design has rebound stops.
It's kind of what I expect from calmini, an ok idea built down to a price, which ends up making it too compromised.
