It's not the snoring people are worried about!

Got back a few hours ago, was an enjoyable trip.

We went on the ghost tour last night, followed by the Walhalla Goldfields Railway train ride and the Long Tunnel mine tour today. Neither of us or our friends saw anything ghostly, however one of the other people on the mine tour did get an interesting photo, he tried to replicate it a few times to make sure it wasn't a strange lens flare, but couldn't.

I didn't do much driving, only about 20 mins, but did find two tracks just north of town, one was Brittania Spur Trak, and the other was Maiden Town Trak. Both were still easy even after the heavy rain, but just greasy enough to stop them from being boring.

Hi All,

A quick reminder to speak up if you plan on coming on this trip.

Richard - please publish your list of expected attendees.

I will then do a quick roll check to ensure we have everyones phone numbers, and send out requests for anyone missing off the list.

Thanks,
Greg

Meeting at the Cafe outside the Moe Heritage Village at 10am on Saturday 19 May - so we will be at Walhalla late morning to have a look around, get some lunch and book tours as required. Can also pick up food at the Bakery, & petrol for the day - in Moe.
Weekend activities at Walhalla include the following options:
Long Tunnel Mine visit,
Trip on the Railway fron Walhalla to Thomson & return,
Cemetery visit,
Ghost Tour(night),
Walk to the Cricket Pitch,
Coopers Creek Hotel area,
Other walks in the area,
A look at Thomson Dam,
The Maiden Town Tk should be OK for 2wds.
For those wanting to do a 4x4 tour on Saturday I thought a look around Donnelly Creek Tk area north of Walhalla & Mt Useful if the weather is OK.
There are other mine sites on the local maps to have a look at & the site of the WW2 Kittyhawk crash that will be a walk in off the road. Can't cover it all here.
Sunday - meet at the Erica Hotel for a 10am start. Pick up petrol at Rawson then 4x4s to tour Beardmores Tk then up to Aberfeldy, Jerico area & loop round to Noojee for exits to either Drouin or Yarra Junction via Powelltown. There are various track options here - weather dependent & some river Xings. Steve125 to be our Sunday leader. Sierras should be OK but suggest carry some spare fuel.
For the 2wds the tour options are above.
W/end line up as at 9 May Club Meeting is:
Greg + Fel - 2wd/4x4?
Richard & Darren - Sierra
Mike + Amy - 2wd
Crispin + Wife - Jimny 4x4
Steve + Seonaid - AWD
Chen + Wife - GV 4x4
Steve L - Sierra
Marty - Vit 4x4
Luke - Defender 4x4.
I hope I have covered every one.
As Steve G is booked in on Fri at Erica he has agreed to book our group for dinner at the pub on Sat night.

For those running late on Sat my mob is 0402 105 589.

Greg - What have I forgotten?
Cheers Richard

I will definately be bringing the parts runner car this weekend Richard.

I propose once we get into Walhalla, we book ourselves in for any tours immediately. Then any low-range members can head out, and the tourist members can plan our day accordingly.

High-Tea anyone?
