A pic of the weekends fun and games...

Here's a pic from the winch challenge event we competed in on the weekend. I think it sums up the whole weekend as a heap of fun. The lead up to this jump was interesting to say the least. We had been talking it up all weekend so there was no turning back, plus the 20 point penalty for driving around it was not a consideration!

The jump is built up on both sides over a 10ft cyclone fence. We managed to stick the landing pretty well and only popped a bead off the rim and bent a beadlock ring, not so bad considering it was a big jump! For the EFS suspension guys the front and rear Elite shocks held up to it by the looks of things although we haven't pulled them off to check at this point. They performed well all weekend.

It was a tough event. By Saturday afternoon, about half the field was out for the weekend due to water ingress issues and other related problems. Out of six stages over the weekend we finished 3, started but DNFed on time on 2 and did not start one as the Jeep was out of action for a while with a alternator full of mud.

We managed 4th place in Modified Class out of 12 entrants and 16th out of 28 starting entries for the weekend. Looking forward to the next comp!
