Just thought that i would add an update. Fitted the snorkel which was not that difficult. The template was actually pretty close and all but one of the holes to be drilled lined up perfectly. Thanks steve. Appreciate you taking the time to respond. The hose (with clamps) looks pretty good so probably will not need a sealant but might add a little anyway (belts & braces approach).

Steve, Thank you for the honest assessment and I was interested in your comments on the vulnerability of the snorkel on the guard. Will fit it over this weekend and see how it goes but agree that the shape and moulding for the guard/flare pretty much will assist with correct alignment. Just a couple...

Suzuki Sierra (1995) snorkel
I have ordered a snorkel via the internet and have heard that the fitting template/instructions leave a lot to be desired. Can anyone provide some practical hints/tips to successfully fitting the snorkel. What should I NOT do?
