A Current Affair just did a video shoot and interview with me and the Shadow Paj, about the air bag recall situation, and how it affects me. I have no idea when it be on, or what story type it will be, but hopefully something good comes of it, even if I look like a dork. Hope it helps others somehow, even if I get thrown the book at :O

Official notification came last night, so they included lots of shots of that.

One of the crew liked the graphics of the exploding air bag, and was upset his cars recall didn't get a nice picture.

A Current Affair airbag recall story should be promoted tonight, and planned to air tomorrow night.
Assuming National broadcast, but no idea, really.
Hope they don't make me look evil or stupid lol.
And hopefully helps somebody feel they not alone in this debacle.
Shadow Paj is now about half stripped down, and I am getting excited for a new project :).

It pays to negotiate.
I could have accepted Mitsubishi's first offer of $7000 and lost a lot of good bits that I could use on my next car.
Final offer I agreed to , after some to-ing and fro-ing via email, was $6630 and I get to keep wheels, tyres, front diff lock and the long range tank. (this will be sold as it will not fit next build).
And the normal odds and sods we fit to cars like gps etc are still mine.
Guess I be busy boy this weekend, Very happy with the outcome.

So do they take it away or are you able to buy it off them as well like a write-off?

It will be crushed and not ever registerable.
Body was past its best, but I wanted to keep my goodies. So is a win and a loss.
TV interview went well.

Thanks, this tv stuff is harder than it looks.
Rear bar was left off the offer, so I am free to remove. I will start that soon.
Should be useable , though may be less needed on a shorty. Would rather give it away than have it crushed.
