Easy social day with two highlights.

Easy 3km round trip walk to the famous ADA tree.
The Ada Tree is a giant Mountain Ash tree, EUCALYPTUS REGNANS, that towers over its surrounding forest - a cool temperate rainforest logged in the 1930s and now regrown. At 76 metres high and with a girth of 15 metres (at 1.5 metres from the ground) the tree is considered to be one of Victoria`s largest and also thought to be over 300 years old.

Some easy driving finishing at the Timber trestle bridge near Noojee.
The Noojee trestle bridge is 87 meters high, has 18 spans and is located on a curve about 1.7 kilometers from Noojee.

All newcomers and kids welcome.

Show up on the day before 9am or give me (Daryl) a ring 0413 310 819
Full tank of fuel advised.

Could all members attending this trip bring along their spare hand held UHF radios.
There have been a few calls and I'm expecting some newbie’s to come along.
Thanks heaps in advance.

An easy social day that had a little for everyone.
The trip on Sunday was topped with perfect weather.
26 people (7 kids) and 2 Feroza’s 2 Hilux’s and 7 Suzuki’s ranging from stock to mild made for an eventful day.

In the morning we covered some tracks that allowed for some technical driving and even found some mud.
I got to with Joey pull apart another Vitara hub, I must admit I’m getting pretty proficient at detecting and solving this problem, always however when it’s a little too late.
Some members were also kind enough to volunteer for some recovery demonstrations, thanks Andrew and Sam. :P

After a delayed lunch we unlocked our hubs and headed off to the Ada tree. It's very BIG

With our stroll over and it being just on five o’clock we set off after some goodbyes’ and thankyou’s on our final 6km dirt road back to the bitumen .
Thanks to Gavin Robyn and the girls Allan Osher and Tony and family for coming along I hope that you enjoyed the day.
Thanks also to all members who helped out when required a job well done. ;)

I certainly enjoyed myself...... surprising just how quickly the bush dries out, I'd forgotten about dust.

Thanks Daryl.

Hope our guests for the day enjoyed themselves and join us for some more fun.
