As its says - Bosch H4 90 Watt Low Beam - 130 Watt High Beam lamps.... $6.20 each.

that's a fair bit more than stock so to get maximum advantage I'd suggest a loom upgrade and relays.

Can't vouch for the dexterity of the storeman... still I do get good staff discounts.

Perhaps it would be better to ask why the retail markup is so high ?

Found this site useful.
Is this all that is needed to run these globes?

Pirana sell a complete made up loom for $225, would I be correct in saying that the checklist on the site would be well under that.

From a parts point of view, it's all you'll need. However, Sierra lights are negatively switched and so you'll need to wire them a bit differently. I think there's been some info on outers about this,

Can't help more, I haven't built one- I paid $1200 for a headlight loom for piggles but it came with a 660cc motor and a whole other car ;) :D

Yes IIRC Bill has a pirana one fitted and IMO its quite expensive if you can do the work yourself - however if you can't then its not a bad choice. An auto sparky would probably charge more. Apparently the price of the lamps in A LOT MORE from autobahn/Ripco etc.

Another option is +60 60/55 there around $8 each and should make a substantial difference even with a stock loom.

The more parts you already have the cheaper the whole thing ends up.
A trip through the wreckers will provide the relays and holders, lamp terminations and perhaps fuse holders...
All you need is some decent wire and terminals etc and some time.

Perhaps you need to run a "Tech day" for Sierra Headlight Loom creation - do the prototype
and then people can bring their junk and do the conversions all together. Just an idea .......

Now if you really want light output then HID's are the way and not a lot dearer than buying a piranna loom ( $300 vs $200 ) - but if you can DIY then $6.20 Halogens are high on the bang for buck index.

Are these available with a P45T base, or only the P43T?

The piranha light kit is excellent. Better than the Arb one I had in my old Gu and better than my stockers in my JK.
