trip with suzuki australia

Post by billbarbas »

The foundations have been set with Suzuki Australia. They have realised that the sierra is an icon vehicle and want to recapture that market.

The jimny sierra will be marketed as a cheap, affordable, capapble offroader and be advertised quite heavily.
We will be organising a trip which will be of a easy medium standard with Suzuki Australia so that their staff gain a better appreciation of the vehicles they have. They will have their press people along also,to cover the trip and publish in their biannual suzuki magazine. I would like to have as many cars as possible on this trip.
The lines of communication are well and truly open, they want to advertise with us, come to a meeting and work with us. They want to push the 4wd lifestyle in a similar vein to Jeep.
What happens from here is up to us.
I will know next week when this trip will occur, will advise ASAP.
If its dry, we will go to Walhalla, if its wet Avoca.

That's a really significant development - with great potential for the club to capitalize on and attract new members.

So all you Jimny, Vit and Sierra owners get behind this one and show Suzuki how valuable the club can be in demonstrating the whole 4WD experience to its customers.

IMO focus on the fun that can be had within the capabilities of the vehicles they will have on offer.

I would be happy to set up a BBQ lunch somewhere along the way to drive home the social nature of the club and wheeling if thats of any value.

A real "golden opportunity" - great work Bill :D

We are happy to stick the trailer on to carry a bbq or anything else deemed useful.
It should be a fun trip.

I am very keen to see where this could go. The potential for good things is there but time will tell. SuzukiAustralia seem keen to rekindle their offroad image here in OZ and if it gives the Club some added benefits well that will be very nice for us.
