POSTPONED, but I will try to do this again later in June/July.

A very short notice day trip to see the recent snowfall east of Melbourne. Mostly a 2wd sight seeing trip, there will be a little bit of easy 4wd as well. Standard cars welcome.

A short notice trip to Mt Matlock to see the snow.

TRIP LOCATION:
West Gippsland

TRIP RATING:
Easy.

TRIP MEETING POINT:
Noojee - Little Red Duck Cafe, 1 Bennett St, Noojee, departing at 10.00am.

Reliable fuel is available at either Longwarry or Launching Place. Next fuel will be at Marysville. Total Kms will be less than 250km.

It will be COLD, be prepared with multiple layers of clothing, a change of socks & boots too.

We will be ending the day at Marysville.

I'm going to postpone this trip. The weather forecast is for rain on Saturday and driving in slush is not why we're going. The higher mountains like Buller & Hotham are getting snow, but where we're going, next to Baw Baw, is just a maybe for snow, more likely it will be rain.

But keep an eye on the weather, if there are more snow falls, and no rain, then I will attempt to run this again as a short notice trip. The rough plan is to post it up on a Monday or Tuesday night and confirm it is definitely going ahead by the Thursday.

I've been past there several times but have never been up to the Gap, what do they offer if they're open? I was going to stop there with the group but was unsure as to what they provided so thought it safer to say to self cater lunch.

last time i was up there I had a burger and a mixed drink , food was good , however ring them and or email them ..

I gather by the photos its snowing up there in them hills !

not a bad view and at night the fire heated the place up
