Details for this years Snow Trip A - Day Trip to Mt Skene are as follows:

Date: August 6th
Location: Meet in Jamieson at 7:30am sharp (suggest staying overnight in Jamieson at the caravan park or the nearby free campground)
Difficulty: Medium depending on snow (might be easy with less snow). All cars are welcome, basic recovery gear and trip equipment required. No Chains required
Trip Leader TBC any volunteers? We would also like Vice trip leader in case the group gets split by another group again

General info:
As this trip takes place on a closed road that we obtain a permit to be on, you must be a paid financial member prior to the permit being submitted around 1 month before the trip date. The trip will leave Jamieson main street at 7:30am sharp, drive up the Jamieson Licola Rd (which is a wide 2wd dirt road in summer) that winds its way up to the top of Mt Skene. As you near the top the snow will build and the aim is to make it to the summit of Mt Skene before any other groups by driving on the snow covered road. At the top you can play around in the snow throwing snowballs at each other and tobogganing (BYO) etc. Hopefully Trip B participants will meet us there and we can all head back down into town for dinner at the Jamieson pub

Sunday is a leisurely pack up and drive home. please book your own accommodation for the Saturday night or arrange with the trip leader

If you are confirmed, I need to know your Full Name, Rego, Make and Model of the car you will drive. First in best dressed, capped at 10 vehicles

Hi all, a reminder that permits will open tomorrow, so I want to get them in ASAP to secure our weekend, if you haven't committed, but are interested, now would be a good time to lock it in

Hi all, I’d like to put my name down.

Max Blackwood
Suzuki Sierra

David Somers as a passenger

I’m going to rebuild my engine before the trip as it’s pretty shot. I’ll advise closer to the trip if it won’t be running in time. Hopefully that’s ok 👍

Hi Jon. I believe you said at the last meeting that the permits had been issued? Is that correct?
