Vic 4wd Show Cancelled

Dear Jon,
The COVID situation has changed markedly during the Christmas – New Year period. It is clear that it is escalating and creating serious and unsustainable demands on the health system. These health concerns and the impact of increasing COVID cases are expected to significantly escalate during January and February.
The Victorian 4WD Show Organising Team met to discuss this increasing risk as it relates to the Show. Risk to exhibitor health, volunteer health and public health. The current situation of lengthening delays for testing and test results is a risk in itself. The Organising Team places a high priority on its OH&S obligation to exhibitors, service providers, volunteers and the public. We recognise that as an exhibitor, whilst planning for the Show you will also be concerned about your own staff and daily operations. The Show is important to your business, but the health of your staff and risk to business continuity is also important.
For our own part there is also operational and reputational risk if the public chooses not to come because of the COVID situation as exists in February. Considering all these items within the framework of good governance, it is with deep regret that the Victorian 4WD Show planned for 20th February 2022 is officially postponed. No decision has been made about an alternative 2022 date at this stage.
We value, appreciate, and thank you for your support. We understand that you will have been planning to and gearing up for the Show. We will continue to keep you informed about opportunities for your business as we make plans for the deferred Show.
I’m disappointed to have to make this announcement, but it is in the best interests of everyone’s health. I thank you for your understanding.
Kind regards,
Chris Camier
