Social Dinner, Japanese, Northcote Fri 26 May
Posted: Mon 08 May, 2017 11:02 am
I've been talking about this for too long, so here it is.
Where: Koi Koi, 257 High Street Northcote
When: Friday, 26 May, 7.00pm
Cost: Pretty reasonable. Mains are around $20. A big sushi/sashimi boat - suitable to share for two is $36 . It's a fairly compact menu but there's something for pretty much everyone.
Beverages: Restaurant is licensed and has Orion on tap. Nice little range of Sake. Drinks prices are reasonable.
Numbers: I'm not going to put an obvious limit on it. They have two large tables out the back that seat ~12 each so we should be fine
Parking: There are carparks on both sides of high street behind the shops nearby.
Public transport: the 86 tram runs up high street. Northcote Railway station on the South Morang line is the closest station ~400m walk
Details: Come along to one of our favourite little Northcote haunts. The restaurant is fairly humble and well priced but the (Japanese) chef is very good - we've never had a bad meal there. (We eat here a lot) a nice intro to Japanese if you're not really familiar with the cuisine.
Dietary: Vego is OK, not sure about vegan. Gluten free is fine too.
If anyone wants to roll on afterwards the Northcote Social Club is just down the street and Joe's Shoe Store is just up the street, licensed to 3am
