Once again this year we have the chance to use the permit scheme to drive on Jamieson-Licola rd over Mt Skene (and hopefully a heap of snow) while the road is closed for winter.

In the past we've had a variety of trip structures, from camping in the snow, camping in various huts, and some day trips too.

yes from me, but could we do the weekend in between...?

Looking at pics of past trips this seems too good to pass up. I'm imagining driving in the cold with a soft top but I'm sure there are some great tips out there. I am very interested and will fit in with the majority.

I'd have to check with 4wd Vic on numbers they'll allow up there at once.
Saturday 12th already has 40 cars up there, not sure how many more would be allowed, but I can check it out if need be?

40 seems like a lot.

We can do the weekend of the 4th-6th by moving Amelia's birthday party...

She wants ice cream birthday cake on the mountain in compensation though.

She may have to settle for ice cake, but I can bring some slurpy syrup.
