Ben and I (and maybe Cinders) are going to this tomorrow, we are going to get there late (around 11-11:30 probably)

You must register before you go, as you only get one entry.

I might try and get a Baleno Engine...

This was a really good and productive day
I got a really nice looking J18 (with loom, ecu, ps pump), Ben got a steel front vit diff, alternators, cinders got 323 calipers and drive flanges and we got Jon his radiator.
Total spend was $145. Cinders payed the $50 to get in and as a result had to do the carry.
I paid $95 for the engine as I wasn't allowed to carry it and the charged me half price for the long block and Cinders carried the accessories.

I will try and go to the Pick a Part one on the 14th.
I need an AW4 and an 8 bolt flexplate to go with my shiney engine now.. They seem to have 2 vitaras atm, both are auto.

I think that its probably worth going a few days before to pull out what you want before the crazy time.
Then just pop in there in the morning of the $50 day and collect it from where you have strategically placed it..

I went to Kilsyth today, the gold GV is a V6 so I think the bell housing would be wrong, car is almost complete though. The black 'Vitara' is an XL7 that is almost completely stripped, no motor or gearbox.

There is a 2000 Baleno auto with low Ks, rear end damage only, radiator cap was clean but the over flow tank had dark brown sludge in it, not sure if that's a head gasket or just never cleaned. The Baleno also had a "Suzuki Theft Protection System" sticker on the rear passenger door glass, is that an immobiliser or central locking? Pick a Part doesn't keep the keys, just leaves them in the car so of course they weren't there.

The baleno my motor is out of (2000 auto baleno) had the same sticker on the window. It was just a black box under the dash which was pretty easily cut from the loom. I think its just a sticker added by the dealers so it should be ok.

From memory mine had that black box too. It was inconsequential

thanks for the advice jon & jon, ended up pulling the engine today, their DIY cranes work quite well, thought it would be harder, $265 with all accessories, exhaust manifold and computer. Should I grab the catalytic converter too? Might go back on Good Friday and get a few more bits.

There are several Discos for anyone wanting suspension arms.
