Australia Day Weekend

Post by Phantomzook »

About Australia day long weekend.. How about this?

Day 1 ( Sat ) start Marysville tracks to Woods Point ( probably camp at comets flat)
Day 2 ( Sun ) Woods Point through to Jamison ( stay at pub or caravan park )
Day 3 ( Mon ) Jamison through to Eildon or close and then home to Melbourne.

Spoken to Woods Point Pub. Accommodation available at $40 per person with a big breakfast.

I would prefer to stay at the Woods Point Pub Saturday and Jamieson Caravan Park on Sunday.

If you will be attending any part of this trip please let me know as early as possible.

We will actively be seeking tracks medium plus to rate for track watch and extra fuel will need to be carried.(Zooks)

This is not final yet if you have an idea please post or ring 0413310819

Ross and I will be jointly running this trip and some track planning needs to be done soon so please throw some track names that you would like to see on this trip.
Thanks
Daryl

Talking to a few Daihards and might have another two Feroza's...

AJFeroza from Outers is keen - once he puts my old transmission in his roza, and Geoff from DaiAuto might be along.

Given the space issues I'm keen to stay at the pub and caravan park, how do we book, individually or as a group ?

Was up that way last Queens B'day weekend. Encountered noisy yobbos at Comets Flat but guess that can happen anywhere.
Did the German Spur track to Knockwood then Moonlight Spur track to Mt.Terrible. Had lunch there but no view - clouded in :(
You'd need something else before descending to Jamieson.
