Satellite SMS

Bought one of these satellite communicators, for when I out of mobile coverage.
Has a sos button, bit like an epirb, but with 2 way communication.
And also the ability to sms/text/email 2 way with mobile phones address book,
or with loaded address book if mobile has died.
Cheaper than a Sat phone, and I can't really understand people on phones very well.
