So are we driving on Sunday as well or just recovering from Saturday night ?

Geoff ( DaiAuto Wreckers )intends to come for the Saturday, as well as a mate so I thinks its + 1 Feroza and a hilux (?).
Its only taken a year to get another Feroza on a trip so by about 2050 we will ready to stage a takeover.......

The plan for those that aren't camping Friday night is to be at O'Briens Crossing by 9am Saturday morning. We would like to be underway by 9.30am. There will be two trips running at the same time. I will be taking the easy option for a gentle tour in Wombat while Bill will be taking another group to look for some of the harder tracks around. We will be back at O'Briens Crossing in the afternoon in time for happy hour :D and to get the fire going for the evening so no 4 o'clock tracks. There are no organised drives planned for the Sunday but if people are keen then feel free to have another play.

I just had a phone call from Kerry Watt who has just arrived at O'Briens Crossing. It appears that we have missed the boat with respect to securing the campsites there so we are going to Plan B which is the Firth Park option.

To get to O'Briens Crossing take the Western Freeway then get off and head to Greendale and Blackwood. Heading North on the Greendale – Trentham Road turn right at O'Briens Rd (dirt road) and follow it to for about 3kms to O'Briens Crossing. It is suitable for 2wd's. Just continue along O'Briens road to the end then turn left (north) and follow Blue Gum Track until it reaches Firth Road then turn left and follow Firth Road (to the north) until you come to the entrance to Firth Park Camp on your right.

Alternatively from the Bacchus Marsh - Gisborne Rd turn into Carroll's Lane (Bullengarook East) and onto Firth Rd. Follow Firth Rd until you come to the turnoff to Firth Park on your right.

See you there :)

Thanks for a great day. Pitty I was unable to stay the night.

Some of the tracks were the easy side of easy.
Almost could do this in 2wd.

But it was a great day.

From now on the phrase "Easy Trip" will be officially struck from the Suzuki Club dictionary.
All references are now to read " the trips formerly known as easy" Mr Squiggle or Steve will explain the significance......

We are home safe, thanks all we had a good weekend.
Claire had a good time despite our mishap.
Never been camping before, I admire her spirit, for wanting to still get to camp, rather than go home after our crash.
(for those not there, out t-case siezed at 110 kph sending us 180 into the guard rail, not a huge amount of damage to car and camper, but annoying...we were luckily both not hurt at all)
Racv Total Care is the best :) (only signed up a couple of weeks ago) towed car and camper home no charge
I took Claire home on the train, and she is still glad she went.
