Silicone Heater Hose

Just replaced a "heater" hose under the intake manifold and Pirtek didn't have a rubber hose that was soft enough to push over the barbs when you can barely feel the hose let alone see it ( Daihatsu special, to remove radiator cap start by removing tail-lights and keep working forward...... ).
The guy then produced silicone heater hose ( bling blue ) and much to my pleasant surprise, 200mm and two good quality rolled edge hose clamps cost just over $5.
Not being a great fan of rubber hoses, I think this is a cost effective way of permanently solving a potential problem. Just don't overtighten the clamps as the silicone hose is much softer than the rubber.
