I found this on ebay
http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Suzuki-Sierr ... 23321a7ea8
I want some bits off it but don't want to buy the whole car
I basically want the spindles, hubs front discs etc and maybe transfer case but I don't want the whole thing.
I figure we can sell the rims on auszookers or ebay again and make some money back on it.
we can probably talk him down a bit from 500 too

anyone keen to split it?

There's no guarantee that has a disc front end Jon. If it has/had a drum front end then it will also have a non-switch transfer case, which is useless to most people. The AVM front hubs are a hint this might be drum front. (disc cars generally had Aisin FWH, drum cars had no FWH. 1982 could be either way I reckon.

Doors look rusty, so they're not worth anything.
Axles aren't worth anything
Motor and gearbox might be worth a bit if it's in good condition, but that's unlikely.
Bonnet damaged
Front clip rusty and cut for a snorkel
People chasing floor/firewall etc (i.e Luke) won't want it as it's 1.0 so not compatible with 1.3 tunnel/boosted brakes.

Considering the front hubs are worth $100 tops, I'd suggest that's more trouble than its worth.

Just my 2C.

The seller confirms it has disc brakes at the front

Yes, sure - the hubs will work fine.

Pretty expensive way of getting two hubs though.

Steve.

I will ask him if he will part it out if it doesn't sell :)

How about this one from auszookers Jon?

http://auszookers.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=43972

A lot better condition than the ebay one.

I want the doors and a few other bits for spares, Luke can have the body and you can take the hubs and whatever else.

edit to add: just looked at the silver one and it's at $810!

yeah I'd be keen if I can get what I want, wouldnt mind teh springs and shackles but thats up for negotiation.
I'd be willing to put up to 200 bucks for the hubs and calipers etc.

OK, just pm'd him about having a look at it, do you want to come along?

Can dismantle it at my place but getting it here might be a problem as I don't have a tow bar anymore. Maybe get it towed, it's only in Pakenham.

ok, I might be able to get a cheap tow but look at it first if you don't mind.
if you wouldn't mind just having a quick look at the hubs to see if they lock and unlook ok, look for signs of rust or leaking grease around the spindle etc (leaking seal or something) and if you are able to but not neccesary see if you can spin the front wheels to see if the bearings are in good condition but if I have to rebuild them it isn't a major issue I don't think.

0426 287 866 is my number if you need to ask anything
I txt luke to get him to check but don't know his position on it all
I could probably go halves in the whole chassis with you if he isn't keen because I'm sure there might be other stuff on the car I would want to keep as a spare or something but the hubs and brakes and spindles are my main concern.

Thanks
