Thought I'd better get this trip organised as it's only three weeks away. Will be similar to last years Horseyard trip, but day two will see us heading north, then west to finish at Mansfield.

TRIP TITLE:
Camping at Guy's Hut (aka, Bryce's Gorge)

TRIP DATE:
Saturday 23rd March & Sunday 24th March

TRIP DESCRIPTION:
Meet at Stratford, travel north along Marathon Rd with a detour along Valencia Creek, lunch at the Pinnacles, then climb Mt Wellington in the afternoon, ending the day at Guy's Hut campground.

Day two, continue north on Howitt Rd, then along King Billy Tk and Bluff Tk, hopefully ending the trip in Mansfield early afternoon.

TRIP RATING:
Easy/Medium

TRIP MEETING POINT:
small park in the centre of Stratford, between Hobson and Raymond st, 10.30am

I have my car operational again so count me in as well. Shimmed the king pin bearings and all is good again. Have you thought about taking Billy Goat Bluff from the Pinnacles and camping in the Wonnangatta? Then head out via Zeka spur and continue on the way you planned to Mansfield. Just a suggestion but I will be there either way. I have not been to Guys Hut.

I'm planning on going to the AZ SA Coorong to Cannundra trip the weekend before.
If Car, Me and Wallet are ok when we return, we will also be on this trip.

Trying to keep it simple and short. I've driven all the roads and know what to expect and how long it will take. Haven't been into 'gatta (Mike, you should lead a trip into the valley sometime), so a bit unsure about the tracks/travel times/etc. Where we're going should have us to camp before night fall and back to Mansfield mid afternoon and then Melbourne late afternoon/early evening.

You are right. Maybe next summer I will suggest a trip into the Wannangatta. It can be little more difficult than the one you suggested but I have been in there by different routes a few times now. Still count me in for this one. I was comming anyway no matter what the route was. Much regretted missing your 3 day trip earlier this year.
