oh my god i cocked up re-drilling the new crank pulley so bad today

it looks like swiss cheese and I lost a couple bolts so I will have to buy some new rated ones.
still going to do it though :S
what a bitch though. serioussly if anyone is doing this, make sure you have a drill press and a hundred little clamps to get it all lined up properly.
everything else was a breeze. but a hand drill and a keen eye is not enough.

Every mistake makes us a little smarter.
I've made so many, I should be brilliant.

What crank pulley did you use that you had to re-drill it?

The wrong one BWAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHA
Isn't there a swift or something that has a four bolt polyvee crank pulley? Didn't Christover find one?

I fitted the east/west Swift/Barina 1.3 motor, it had the 2 row multi V pulley on it.
Pretty sure it was a 4 bolt.

Yup, g13ba swift or barina, 4 bolt multirib pulley bolts straight on, took me about 2 minutes to change when I did mine

is it a double one ? because I am going to be putting the power steering on next (when i recover from this experience)
I will have to get another pulley anyway, I'm sure this one will fly apart sooner or later.
had to scrounge bolts from all over the place too seeing as I put a viscous fan on which meant i had to get 4 bolts.
I'm so ashamed.
Had to buy a new battery today too as I got rid of the old battery tray as it was setrioussly rusted out and did a big paint with por51.
I made the new battery tray out of a $4 chinese junk shop chopping board and it was too thick so when I closed to bonnet on the old battery the terminals touched on the bonnet.
haven't tested to see if the alternator is actually sending power to the battery yet because I don't know where to put the multi-meter points
I'm terrible

Have you hooked the plug into the loom and the power from the alt straight to the battery yet? If you have then when it's running just touch the multimeter points onto the battery terminals, mine sits around 14.5v on idle, then spikes up to 15v with high beams, radio, UHF etc on, then drops back down to 14.4v-14.5v after a couple of minutes.
