I am also considering putting in a new clutch while I have the transmission out.
Does anyone have any opinions or experiences on what is good and what is not so good.
I am currently thinking one of these would be a good choice: Exedy SZK-6288HD

I have used some exedy stuff in the past and I think it's fine.

There's no need for a heavy duty clutch though - you're only applying the standard amount of torque into the gearbox so there's no need for an upgrade there. HD clutches place more load on the cable and clutch fork, and often trade off some feel for clamping power. With a stock engine, that just means you're making the car harder to drive.

Avoid cheap clutch kits as they seem to glaze quickly and slip if they get hot.
