XL 7 stalling in reverse gear

I have an 02 XL 7 that has developed a stall when put into reverse. It also has a high Idle issue at about 2000RPM.(intermittent) I have had a look on Google and I get the idea it might be a IAC or Coolant temp sensor issue.
Can anyone shed anymore light on this for me thanks.
