What size pipe/tube is most suitable for making shackle hangers?

Of the sizes that the local steel place carries, it looks like 25nb extra light, or light is the closest.

 The hackles still work with standard shackle mounts, so it's all good.

On second thoughts I think the outer diameter of 25nb will be too small, possibly chewing through the bush flange.

I've found it difficult to find a suitable tube diameter to work with Sierra bushes. I'd recommend cleaning up the stock hanger tubes and working with that.

Steve.

Mat if you need any bushes made I have contacts through my work that might be able to machine them up for you in urethane or a material of your chosing.
may not be the cheapest price idk

Thanks Steve,

I think schedule 160, 1 1/4nps might be suitable, but I don't know where I would find any. I guess I will have to use the stock tubes.

Thanks Jon, but I prefer the idea of using off the shelf bushes.
