Another Sierra carby problem

Hello
Has anyone had this problem before? The accelerator seems to stick. Sometimes a kick at the pedal brings it down to the proper speed (900 RPM). The pivot point at the Accelerator pump arm has a lot of sideways movement in it. The cable has been replaced and the carby reconditioned about 3 years ago. The engine is warm and the choke is fully open when this is happening.
It is causing havoc on gear change as the revs can be as high as 2000 rpm. It is also mucking up the ability of low 1st and 2nd to slow down hill descents.
Be that as it may, I had a great time with some friends on some easy to medium tracks around the Upper Big River area last weekend. I LOVE the diff locker and the low range gears! That little bit of rain made for some slippery climbs and many of my mates were very impressed what the Suzuki could do easily.
Cheers.
